URI 4-H Horse Pleasure Program

The pleasure program is an opportunity for 4-H members to earn recognition for all the hours they spend on horseback. As 4-H members accrue hours throughout their 4-H careers, they will earn awards and “level up” through the program. Hours spent in the saddle on trail rides, doing ring work, or in lessons may be counted. All 4-H members are welcome to participate!

How does it work?

Each time you get in the saddle, submit an account of your riding through the online form. Once you have accrued enough hours, you will receive an award! It is that simple!

Please note that you will be unable to see your entries once they have been submitted via the online form. You may find it helpful to download a hard-copy entry form to keep track of the hours you have submitted.

When do I earn an award?

Awards are earned at specific hour intervals. You can work towards these awards throughout your entire URI 4-H career! Earn awards in your own time and at your own pace. Your hours will continue to accrue throughout your time in URI 4-H. Hours will be assessed quarterly by the State 4-H Office. Review the chart below:
