Following the creation of the College of Health Sciences, a number of programs of study have moved from one college to another. The administration initiated this change to reflect a changing society and changing needs at URI.
Students do not need to do anything. Appropriate technical changes have been completed by the Registrar and University Computing Systems. The tuition and fee structure will change for some students starting in Fall 2016.
The College of Human Sciences and Services is dissolved, and the Feinstein College of Continuing Education is now known as the Feinstein College of Education and Professional Studies located on Kingston and Providence campuses. Additionally, a new school has been formed, the School of Professional and Continuing Studies located on the Providence campus (under Feinstein College of Educational and Professional Studies).
For more information regarding the creation of the College of Health Sciences and other changes, please read this announcement from President Dooley (pdf).
