Congratulations to our newly accepted students!

FAFSA Progress Update

URI has started to receive FAFSA data from the U.S. Department of Education and we are working hard to prepare financial aid awards. To assist first-year admitted students (Fall 2024 entry) in their decision process, URI will be extending its deposit deadline to May 15, 2024.

While our Regular Decision deadline has passed, we are still accepting applications at this time for all majors including nursing (on a space-available basis). If you are interested in joining us at URI, we encourage you to submit your Common Application or URI Transfer Application as soon as possible.

URI has more than 100 majors.

Inclusion, Equity, and Justice
The University of Rhode Island Office of Admission desires to engage students from a diverse range of backgrounds and experiences. When considering applications to URI, we seek students who will contribute positively to the campus community and beyond, and who will embrace the URI Cornerstones. The members of the Office of Admission are committed to embracing diversity and fostering inclusion, equity, and justice. We encourage dialogue which will further the knowledge and understanding of difference and societal norms. We will continue to collaborate with our campus partners and educate ourselves as we challenge the norms and practices which contribute to the suffering of others.

Land Acknowledgment
The University of Rhode Island occupies the traditional stomping ground of the Narragansett Nation and the Niantic People. We honor and respect the enduring and continuing relationship between the Indigenous people and this land by teaching and learning more about their history and present-day communities, and by becoming stewards of the land we, too, inhabit.
