Landscape Architecture, B.L.A.

The Bachelor of Landscape Architecture degree (BLA) is designed to prepare you for careers in design, planning, preservation and restoration of the landscape by applying art, science and technology to achieve the best use of land and water resources. Graduates are employed in the public sector (government) and private sector including in landscape architecture, architecture, planning, and engineering firms as well as in design-build, construction and horticultural related fields.

Major Entry Requirements

  • Apply for admission to the major with the chairperson of the department
  • Complete 24 units with an overall GPA of 2.00 or higher
  • Note: As admission is competitive, realistically students should have at least a 2.50 overall GPA with no grade in an LAR course below a C for consideration
