Medical Laboratory Science, B.S.

The Medical Laboratory Science major is concerned with the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. The program includes courses in clinical chemistry, clinical microbiology, hematology, immunology, immunohematology and molecular pathology, and prepares you for national certification examinations and state licensure. Career options include clinical practice, laboratory supervision and management, regulatory agencies, sales and technical representation for scientific equipment companies, research, and education. The Biotechnology option prepares you for professional careers in the rapidly growing biotechnology and biomedical industries. Graduates will be qualified to work in areas such as technical support, manufacturing and research.
