General Education Assessment
Assessment of General Education
Since the spring of 2005, a URI faculty committees have developed and implemented assessment procedures for the University’s general education program. The Subcommittee on Assessment of General Education (SAGE) is the organizational mechanism for furthering assessment process, and reports to the University College and General Education Committee of the Faculty Senate.

Update 2015: The New General Education Program
The adoption and implementation of a new general education program, developed by the University College General Education Committee and approved by the Faculty Senate in the spring of 2013 is currently slated for Fall 2016. For information about the general education implementation schedule or assessment planning for the program, please refer to: General Education Implementation.
Student Affairs Assessment
Following the commencement of Graduate Program assessment, Student Affairs assessment will be a focus of undergraduate assessment work.
Supporting Program Assessment at URI
Learning Outcomes Oversight Committee (LOOC)
LOOC was established in 2007 as a joint committee with representation from many important constituencies within the University, and is committed to promoting, supporting, and ensuring effective assessment as an integral part of the student learning experience at URI.
