URI digital literacy program recognized by the U.S. Department of Education

A graduate certificate program created by professors at the University of Rhode Island has been recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as a model of teacher education. The Graduate Certificate in Digital Literacy was singled out by the Office of Educational Technology in the 2016 National Education Technology Plan.

URI to host hack-a-thon Nov. 13-15 to seek ‘Internet of Things’ solutions to real-world problems

Graduate and undergraduate students from throughout the region – and as far away as Puerto Rico – will converge on the University of Rhode Island Nov. 13 for the start of a three-day hack-a-thon that will find the students identifying real-world problems they can address with technological solutions they create before the weekend is over.
