Feihong (Jerry) Xia joined the College of Business Administration at the University of Rhode Island in 2016, after graduating from Katz Graduate School of Business, University of Pittsburgh with a Ph.D. in Marketing. His research focuses on the frontiers of marketing phenomena such as digital marketing and online commerce. He conducts research at the interface of machine learning, statistics and economics. Dr. Xia aspires to generate unique consumer insights from big data, and create models for marketing applications. His dissertation essays are currently under revision at Marketing Science. Prior to earning his M.B.A. at Penn State, he worked for MAXIM magazine in China as senior marketing executive. In his free time, Dr. Xia is an avid fisherman and a football enthusiast.
