Rama worked for five years in Advertising in SSC&B Lintas, Saatchi & Saatchi Direct, and for three years in Marketing. He was associated with brands such as Deccan Chronicle, AP Tourism, Coats, and Bosch. Rama worked for three years in Marketing of Organic foods in India and was the Marketing Manager for Sresta Natural Bioproducts Pvt. Ltd., India’s largest organic food company.

Dissertation: “Making Sense of Sustainable Consumption in Middle Class India”
Dissertation summary: The dissertation aims to provide a grounded and India-based contextualized definition of sustainable consumption, and a way of looking at sustainable consumption activities and how consumers pool up resources from their surroundings to construct meanings of sustainable consumption.
