I am a kinesiology major with a concentration in physical therapy from Rhode Island. This semester I am teaching Zumba. I have always been interested in how the body functions and its capabilities of different movement. That being said, I hope to get people to drop the boring workout and join the Zumba Party!

I am a fourth-year pharmacy student. I’ve been teaching spin classes for over a year and I am also a certified kickboxing trainer and an ISSA Certified Personal Trainer. I fell in love with fitness three years ago when I realized it was time to turn my life around. I lost and have kept off over 85lbs. I believe in the power of group fitness and personal training as tools for health, fitness, and wellness.

I am a junior Health Studies student from New York. I will be teaching a mixture of yoga classes this semester. I have found teaching because of such passion as a student and I am eager to share my practice with others.

Hello! I have been at URI in the Nutrition Department since September 2001, and teaching Group Ex classes most of that time. I have been teaching Group Exercise for over 20 years at various places including the YMCA, Newport Naval Base, Gold’s Gym, community groups and now at the new Fascitelli center. Fitness is my passion and I am so excited to be a party of a college community in both academics and wellness. If you don’t see me in the gym, you may see me running on campus or in a local race. I love to mix it up and keep the participants challenged. You’ll leave class happy and sweaty!!

I am a junior majoring in Early Childhood Education. I am AFAA certified and enjoy teaching a variety of group exercise classes such as cardio, HIIT, strength training and core classes. I believe that exercising is the best way to relieve any kind of stress and it also radiates positive energy all around. Nothing comes close to the feeling of being done with your workout when you know that you have reached your fullest potential. Make URI group exercise a part of your life and release some endorphins with us!

I am a junior (P1) pharmacy student from Maine. This semester I am teaching a variety of spin classes, Hard Bodies, 6-Week Shred, and Cardio Kick. I love to run and bike and do anything active!

Hi everyone! My name is Nick and I have been teaching group exercise for 5 years, and martial arts for 10. I love to let loose in class, and unleash all the energy that I have on a workout to make it fun, challenging, and bring my participants to a level of fitness that they never dreamed possible. Come to my classes to work harder than you ever have before, and maybe have a few laughs in the process too!
