BUS 493: Internship in Business Administration

Participating in an internship is a great way to put classroom experience into practical experience. While engaged in the supportive environment of an internship you can test career goals, enhance professional skills, develop self-reliance, self-esteem, and responsibility. Furthermore, internships encourage networking with professionals and will provide increased marketability for employment after graduation.

Below is the criteria for earning internship credits as a College of Business Administration major. All College of Business Administration students will need to meet with Lynne Finnegan, Internship Coordinator for the College of Business, to discuss internship credits.

BUS 493: Internship in Business Administration

Requirements

  • Minimum 75 credits completed prior to internship
  • 2.75 GPA or higher
  • Must be a College of Business Administration major in good academic and social standing
  • Permission of Internship Coordinator
  • Related to student’s major or career interests

Logistics

  • 3 – 6 Liberal or Professional credits depending on students major
  • Supervised work experience with participation in management and problem solving
  • Online seminar offered Fall, Spring, and Summer
  • S/U only
