Career Journey

As I think about my career journey and all of the experiences I have had, from waitressing and bartending, being a Resident Assistant, a Job Coach for my clients, running my own business, working for a non-profit as the lead toddler teacher, and managing a URI part time AmeriCorps program, all of these experiences I have learned from and they have brought me to Higher Education and my current role as the Experiential Education Coordinator. I am able to combine my interest in working with people, my love of learning in Higher Education and passion for supporting students with their career goals and career exploration as they determine their path.

When not supporting career and experiential education you will find me: Always working on a project trying to find the most efficient way to get the most out of everyday. I love having a productive day by checking things off of my list. I also enjoy spending time with friends and family, gardening, and finding new recipes.

What strength, Value, or Personality trait do you identify with most and why? I identify most with my “achiever” and “strategic” strengths. I love to get things done. I like to check things off my list. I am always thinking of “what if” or “If then”. I like to think of the path forward.
