Careers for the Common Good – Volunteer, Internship, & Job Fair

This fair is a great time to for Non-Profit Agencies, Community Partners, and National Service Programs to educate URI students and recruit for new volunteers, interns, or employees. Attendees are welcome to visit with dozens of community agencies and learn how to become engaged in the community! Representatives will provide information about their organizations and a wide range of issue areas including: Environment, Education, Health, Safety, Political Engagement (including information on how to register to vote), National Service, Human Services, and more!

Engineering and Tech Fair

[themify_icon icon=”fa-calendar” icon_color=”#000000″ ]October 3, 2018, 11am – 3pm Ryan Center

The University of Rhode Island Engineering and Technology Career Fair is a collaborative effort between the College of Engineering and the Center for Career and Experiential Education. The fair provides students with the opportunity to speak with undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, administrators, staff and alumni from the College of Engineering as well as other technical majors on campus.
On average 600 plus candidates interested in obtaining full time, part-time and internship opportunities attend the fair. The University of Rhode Island graduates students in December, May and August.

Health Industries Career Fair

[themify_icon icon=”fa-calendar” icon_color=”#000000″]Thursday, October 18, 2018, 3pm – 5pm First Floor CBLS Atrium

This is the second year for the Health Industries Fair. It provides you a networking opportunity to speak with undergraduate and graduate students and for students to learn about internship and job opportunities in different health related industries in addition to direct care fields.

Students with interests in Health Studies, Kinesiology, Nutrition, Psychology, Human Development and Family Studies, Health Insurance and Policy, Speech/Language Pathology, and Communicative Disorders are encouraged to attend.

Work It: Build Your Rhody Network  — A Networking & Career Fair

[themify_icon icon=”fa-calendar” icon_color=”#000000″]Wednesday, November 7, 2018, 1pm – 4pm Memorial Union Ballroom

In lieu of the traditional “Fall Internship & Job Fair”, we will be hosting a fusion event, which allows students of all majors to explore career paths, hone their networking skills, AND connect with employers regarding potential positions.

This event, called “Work It: Build Your Rhody Network” will occur during Professional Development Week on Wednesday, 11/7/2018.

Sample networking questions will be placed on your table, but feel free to facilitate conversation as you feel best. Your interactions with our students will assist in educating them on networking skills, your company, and your available job & internship opportunities.

College of the Environment and Life Sciences Career Fair

[themify_icon icon=”fa-calendar” icon_color=”#000000″]Wednesday, December 12, 2018, 12pm – 2pm

The College of the Environment and Life Sciences (CELS) is partnering with the Center for Career and Experiential Education (CCEE) and Alumni Relations to host the College of the Environment and Life Sciences Career Fair. During this time, CELS Alumni along with employers in the science, environmental, and energy fields will be coming together to network and connect with students.

Students involved with the Coastal, Energy, and Science and Engineering Fellows Programs will also be presenting their research posters from 2-3:30pm.

These events are open to all students with an interest in the science, environmental, and energy field areas.
