Biography
Christine Zozula is an Associate Professor in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology and Chair of the Criminology & Criminal Justice Department. She researches punishment, crime, and culture. Her book, Courting the Community: Legitimacy and Punishment in a Community Court (Temple University Press, 2019) describes how community courts legitimize increased criminal justice social control under the banners of rehabilitation and community well-being.
