Landscape Architecture Lecture series starts Oct. 11

The first two or nine planned public lectures will be held in October as the 2012-2013 UTI Landscape Architecture Series gets under way.

The first lecture on Oct11 will feature Harry Dodson, principal of Dodson Associates of Ashfield, MA. His topic will be “Scenery and Survival:  The Future of Rural New England Landscapes”

The second lecture on Oct. 25 will have Kristine Kenney, ASLA, Campus Landscape Architect of the University of Washington speak on “The University Campus: Preserving Legacy, Creating History.”

The schedule of the remaining lectures will be listed later in the semester.

Lectures begin at 7 P.M. and are held in the Weaver Auditorium on the Kingston Campus of URI. The series is co-sponsored by the College of the Environment and Life Sciences, the Rhode Island Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects, and the Rhode Island Nursery and Landscape Association.  All lectures are free and open to the public.  The lecture hall is handicapped accessible.
