NRS researcher named top reviewer for journal

Kelly Addy, a research associate in the CELS Department of Natural Resources Science, has been selected for the second year in a row as one of the outstanding reviewers for the Journal of Environmental Quality (JEQ).

The journal publishes the work of the Land Grant community and academics from all over the world and is supported by the Soil Science Society of American and the American Society of Agronomy.

Writes CELS Professor Arthur Gold, currently on sabbatical from NRS, “I am confident that Kelly is the only research associated to be named—usually these outstanding reviewers are faculty or senior scientists.” The award, called 2011 Editor’s Citation for Excellence, added Gold, “demonstrates the quality and depth of expertise within CELS.”

All journals published by the JEQ depend on the commitment and dedication of volunteer reviewers and editors to maintain the high level of quality articles, said a JEQ editor.
