Overview

Biotechnology is a challenging and exciting field that is at the forefront of efforts to overcome some of today’s biggest challenges: climate change, world hunger, heart disease, cancer, and AIDS. This major offers cutting-edge training in this rapidly expanding industry.

The major includes a 12-credit internship requirement that can be fulfilled at a local biotechnology company or organization. These internships are significant and many times life changing experiences, and more than half of the internships turn into part-time employment while students are completing their degree.
