Eligibility

Graduate candidates: Participation in the graduate commencement ceremony acknowledges the completion of degree requirements and signifies academic accomplishment of the highest order.

Graduate candidates eligible to march in the ceremonies include the following:

  • Those who have completed their degree requirements by August 2014, December 2014, or May 2015.
  • Those who will have completed their course work during or before the spring 2015 semester and will have successfully defended their dissertations/theses (if required) by Friday, April 17, 2015.
  • Those in programs with required internships who will have completed their course work during or before the spring 2014 semester; defended their dissertations/theses (if a dissertation or thesis is required) by Friday, April 17, 2015; and completed their internships by Sunday, September 13, 2015.

Undergraduate candidates: Those who have completed their degree requirements by December 2014 or May or August 2015 are eligible to participate in the ceremonies.

Please note that even if you are marching, your name will not appear in the Commencement Program if you have a FERPA restriction or an outstanding academic issue on your record.

Receipt of commencement information does not, in any way, constitute certification for graduation.
