Welcome to The URI Community Music Program

Dear students & parents,

It is with a heavy heart that I deliver this terrible news-given to me just yesterday.
The dean’s office in Arts & Sciences has decided to terminate the Community Music Program entirely as of June 28th, 2014.

We wanted to deliver this news to you personally to thank you for your years of loyal service to this program. You are the reason we lasted for 38 years, and I wanted to make sure you know how much your loyalty has meant to us. It has been a privilege to serve this community for so many years and to see how so many young budding musicians have flourished during their years with us.

There are several other places in the area where you may continue your lessons, either with your current teacher at their home studio or at Wakefield Music, The Guild, More Than Music or The Music School.  Please continue with your music study!

We will miss working with you all, and hope our paths cross in the future.

With best wishes,

Jane and Tina
