CI at UMASS’ Chinese speech contest

The Confucius Institute at UMASS runs the annual Chinese speech contest in early spring. Winners are sent to participate in the Worldwide Chinese Bridge speech contest held by the Confucius Institute Headquarters and a Chinese TV station. This year, winners are also granted hundreds of dollars air-ticket allowances and a free two-week trip to Ha’erbin, a city in northeast China know for snow skiing and ice sculpturing.

CI at URI is one of the supporting organizations electing students to participate in this speech contest.
