Informal education program for diverse RI youth audiences that combine hands-on education and the development of life skills through an extensive 4-H volunteer system, schools, community organizations and military partners.

Eco exploration camp

Our day camps encourage kids to explore the natural world by investigating the geology of Rhode Island, ecology and natural history of Rhode Island plants and animals, learn citizen science, engage in hands-on S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics)

Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program

Program to teach nutrition to low income residents of RI (those within 185% of poverty rate); curriculum taught in workshops of 6 to 8 weeks in length; focus on young mothers with children.

Learning Landscape Field trips

Environmental education programs engaging children in several hands-on learning stations to explore biomes and plants and wildlife that inhabit southern New England.

School Garden Initiative

Harnesses children’s enthusiasm for the natural world​, foster environmental awareness, ecological literacy and wellness, and bolster students’ understanding of nutrition and food access through outdoor engagement and applied learning in a “living laboratory” – the school garden.

Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Education

Program to teach food and nutrition strategies promote behavior change focused on the consumption of a plant based diet and decreased risk of childhood obesity.
