Biography

Laurel Murphy began her work as a Research Assistant at Brown University with Dr. Stein in 2005, and subsequently started working with our lab at the University of Rhode Island’s Social Sciences Research Center in 2007.  She is now the Project Coordinator for all of Dr. Stein’s studies. She is responsible for staff oversight, creating systems for data tracking and management (interfacing with programmers and analysts; data cleaning, verification and management), screening and assessment procedures, general lab procedures and tracking and monitoring project funds.  She has co-authored several project procedures and assessment manuals, and is responsible for assessment training.   She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Rhode Island with a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology in 2005.
