Supporting Students with Disabilities
The Changing the Culture grant program teaches faculty and staff to learn how to help students with disabilities overcome obstacles to their success in higher education.
This section of our website includes information to help you learn more about students with disabilities, and ways to better support them.
Check our “FAQs” page for frequently asked questions about students with disabilities in higher education.
We also have a link to a wonderful site called “AskABLE” which provides access to expert answers to your disability-related questions.
There are pages about ways to communicate about disabilities in more positive terms, and there is a page of “Myths and Facts” about disabilites to help you understand some of the preconceptions and stereotypes that can interfere with the success of students with disabilities.
