RA Positions @ ECBE

We are constantly looking for highly motivated graduate students and scholars to join our department. Our Department offers rich opportunities in terms of RA, TA, Fellowship, post-doc, visiting scholar, etc to work with our faculty on a wide range of cutting-edge research problems in all the key areas of electrical, computer, and biomedical engineering. RA in High-Frequency Electronics 

Two fully funded Ph.D. RA positions are available from Spring 2018 or Fall 2018 in radio-frequency/mm-Wave integrated circuits, components, and systems with major applications to 5G/future-generation wireless communications, Internet of Things (IOT), advanced radar/imaging systems, etc. Interested students are encouraged to contact Prof. Kenle Chen at kenle_chen@uri.edu.

 

RA in Aerial Robotics and Multi-robot Systems

A fully funded Ph.D. RA position is available from Spring 2018 or Fall 2018 in aerial robotics and multi-robot localization, estimation and coordination at the ECBE Department. Candidates should be familiar with C/C++ and Matlab. Experience with GNU/Linux and ROS is appreciated but not mandatory. RA in Networking

Two fully funded Ph.D. RA positions are available from Spring 2018 or Fall 2018 in the intersection of networks, optimization and learning, with applications to Internet of Things, data centers, and clouds. RA in Neural Signal Processing

The Neural Processing and Control Lab (NeuralPC Lab) in the ECBE Department has one PhD position opening in the field of neural signal processing and brain-computer interface (BCI) systems from Spring 2018 or Fall 2018. We are seeking highly motivated and talented graduate student whose research interest lies at the intersection of neural engineering, cognitive neuroscience, and control systems. RA in Smart City

Research Opportunities in Cyber-Physical Security

We are currently looking for self-motivated students who are interested in multi-disciplinary research in cyber-physical security. The application areas include power grid security and IoT reliability and security. The perspective students are required to have background in signal processing and networking. RA in Computer Architecture

A fully funded RA position for PhD is available from Spring 2018 or Fall 2018 in the area of computer architecture. Good programming skills (C/C++/Python) is required. Background in compilers, operating systems, FPGAs is a plus. Please contact Resit Sendag at sendag@uri.edu if interested.

RA in Neuromodulation

A fully funded Ph.D. RA position is available for the 2017-18 year. The candidate will: recruit participants, perform noninvasive transcranial focal electrical stimulation, record electroencephalography, analyze the biosignals, and format the data for dissemination. Post-doc in Neural Engineering

We are recruiting a post-doc to: design and conduct experiments that will impart information about cognitive processing of humans. The candidate should be experienced with electroencephalography (EEG), biosignal processing, deep learning, and data mining. RA in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence
