Here you will find information pertaining to the RN to BS accelerated online program as well as the Masters in Dietetics programs along with associated information regarding cost, financial aid and registration.  URI offers other online programs.  Please visit http://web.uri.edu/online/ for more information.

RN to BS Accelerated Online Program

  • How To View Your Bill and Make a Payment

    • Log into e-campus and select URI student financials from the menu.
    • Choose Online Pgms Tuition Payment to make a payment or My Account Summary to view your account details and balance.
    • Please Note: Payment is always due on the day before a new session begins. Your enrollment will be dropped for non-payment. Unfortunately, due to the accelerated nature of the RN to BS online program, a monthly payment plan is not available.

    2016/2017 Tuition and Fees

    Tuition$318 per credit
    Registration Fee$15 per session
    Technology Fee$6 per credit
    Transcript Fee$45 one-time fee
    Document Fee$110 one-time fee
    Course Fees$25-$75 per course if applicable

    Adjustment (Refund) Policy for Dropped Courses

    Courses must be dropped no later than the 3rd day of the session to receive a 100% billing adjustment for that session.  There is no adjustment for courses dropped on the 4th day through the last day of the session.

    Mandatory Completion of Student Financial Responsibility Agreement

    Students are asked to complete a Student Financial Responsibility Agreement one-time during their career at URI.  If you haven’t yet completed your Agreement, you will find it listed as an outstanding item in your To-Do list in eCampus.  To get started, simply click on the item within eCampus and follow the prompts.  For more information, please visit http://web.uri.edu/enrollment/student-financial-responsibility-agreement/

    Refunds

    If you are receiving financial aid for your educational expenses and expect to have an overpayment refunded to you, please be sure you have set up your refund preference through BankMobile, our refund partner.

    Choose from 3 options:

    1. Direct deposit to a personal bank account
    2. Deposit to a BankMobile debit card
    3. Paper check sent by US mail

    If you are a new student who has recently enrolled for classes, you will soon receive a bright green envelope with your unique personal code. Using this code, log into the refundselection.com website to set up your refund delivery preference.  (If you have misplaced your refund selection kit, please contact Enrollment Services and we will request a new personal code issued for you.)  For more information, please visit http://web.uri.edu/enrollment/higher-one-refund-card/.

     

  •  Applying for Aid

    • Complete the FAFSA form for the academic year at https://fafsa.ed.gov/ Use URI Code #003414.
    • After admission to the program, your FAFSA will be reviewed for Federal Student Loans and Pell Grant eligibility based on full time enrollment. Note: Changes may occur if you are not enrolled for 12 credits during a semester.
    • Please be advised that if your name and/or social security number are not correct in our eCampus student system, it can delay processing of your aid because we match social security number, date of birth and name when loading the FAFSA into eCampus.  If you suspect an issue, please contact us at 874-9500. 
    • It is important that all aid is accepted via eCampus prior to the 1st day of each semester/session.

    If You Are Selected for Verification

    • You will be required to submit all required documents prior to an award as a continuing student or prior to disbursement if you are a newly admitted student.
    • Check your To Do’s under the student center in e-Campus to determine which required documentation you need to submit. Very specific instructions will be listed.

    Federal Student Loans Eligibility Requirements

    • You must be enrolled for a minimum of 6 credits over the semester.
    • There are two sessions in one semester. Therefore, in order to be eligible, you need only enroll for:
      • a total of 6 credits in either one session or both sessions combined.
    • Pell Grant recipients with high need may be eligible to receive the Pell Grant when enrolled for only 3 credits. Please be sure to contact Enrollment Services if you are only going to be enrolled for 3 credits during a semester.  Our staff will be able to determine your eligibility for Pell in this case.

    After Your Financial Aid is Posted

    • A reminder: It is important that all aid is accepted via eCampus prior to the 1st day of each semester/session.
    • Accept loans that you need to pay your expenses via the student center in eCampus.  
    • Next, log on to: studentloans.gov to complete the Master Promissory Note and Entrance Counseling. Note: If you currently have a valid Master Promissory Note, you will not need to sign another.  If you have completed Entrance Counseling previously, you need only release the counseling to URI, Code #003414.

    Disbursements

    Disbursement will typically occur after the first week of the second session if you are only enrolled for 6 credits over a semester. If you are enrolled for 6 credits within one session, you will be reviewed for one-half of the semester’s financial aid and disbursed after the first week of each session.

     

  • Before Registering for A Class

    • You must accept admission before you may register for classes.  Instructions for acceptance will be emailed to you by Admissions.
    • Check your student center for “Holds” and “To Do” list items in eCampus.
      • Check for any holds that would prevent you from registering.
      • Check for any To Do List items that would prevent you from registering by clicking “more” and then click the To Do Item in blue for detailed information.

    Transfer Credit Process

    • If you are applying to the RN to BS online program for the first time, please send an Official Transcript to Undergrad Admissions, Newman Hall, 14 Upper College Road, Kingston, RI 02881.  Credits are accepted at the discretion of the College of Nursing.
    • Students who are being readmitted should submit all official college transcripts for work done outside of URI since their departure from URI to the College of Nursing.

Dietetics Master of Science Online

    • Unfortunately, due to the accelerated nature of the Dietetics online program, a monthly payment plan is not available. 
    • Please note that unpaid balances will be subject to monthly late payment fees and registration holds.

    • In order to apply for a Graduate PLUS Loan, you must complete our Supplemental Graduate PLUS Loan Application located on our URI, Enrollment Services website.

    Federal Student Loans Eligibility Requirements

    • As a full time student in this program over three semesters, you will be eligible to borrow funds through the Federal Unsubsidized Loan and GRAD PLUS Loan programs up to the cost of attendance. (For federal loan eligibility you must be enrolled at least half-time.) Students are generally enrolled half time during their final semester, therefore, still eligible to receive these federal loans.
