Service and Volunteering
Feinstein Civic Engagement Program
“Giving of oneself to better the lives of others – regardless of race, creed, or religion – is the greatest of all achievements.” – Alan Shawn Feinstein
The Feinstein Center for Service Learning seeks to create an engaged campus community through: service and community engagement that fosters student leadership; support for faculty scholarship in service learning; and direct service and advocacy work that meets local, state, national and global community needs.
Not sure where to start your service journey? We’ve put together the resources needed to navigate your volunteer or service experience at URI from start to finish. This self-service “do it yourself” section provides you the resources to find the best service experience for you and/or your student club/organization. Learn more »
The Feinstein Experience is a common service experience held every semester and open to the entire URI community! No prior experience is required to serve! All we ask is that you come with an open mind, and a desire to have fun and be engaged in the community! Learn more »
Leadership & Involvement
Take your engagement to the next level through programs like Civic Engagement Leaders, Jumpstart, URI S.A.V.E.S., Alternative Spring Breaks and Social Change Internships. Or join up with a student group, such as Habitat for Humanity.
