Being super involved in his chapter, Abner still makes time to be active on campus in his major, religious groups, and fitness organizations. He is involved with the Animal Science club, Rhody Christian Fellowship, Intramural Sports, and has a part time job at the gym on campus. Abner extends his involvement to volunteering in a youth group at a local church. Being a free spirited person, Abner still makes time for his hobbies like snowboarding and hiking. Abner has learned to lead by example in his fraternity.  He has loved being apart of Greek Life for all the skills he has gained. “It’s our job to learn how to keep up with life because it won’t slow down,” he says. “Greek Life has been a great way for me to learn about how to organize my time and take on responsibilities. Being involved has opened more opportunities for me.” After graduating URI, Abner hopes to go to veterinary school because he is passionate about working with animals. He has been nominated Greek of the Week for his dedication to Sig Ep and always embodying the power of brotherhood in his fraternity. Abner always tries to be the best brother he can be in SigEp.
