Vision
Our vision is based on the belief that where a student lives while at URI can and should be much more than just a place to sleep. The focus of the Living at URI Vision is providing students with the learning experience of a lifetime—an experience that will both complement and advance their academic preparation. Living at URI whether on-campus or off-campus gives students the opportunity to join a community of students from all parts of the United States and from all over the world. The Department’s goal is to provide students with a variety of living options allowing them to find a home while a student at URI that will allow them to discover new friendships and opportunities, and develop the skills that will prepare them for their future.
Mission
Provide access to quality and affordable campus housing, which supports the educational and developmental needs of our students as well as the academic goals of the University.
Deliver safe, clean, and well maintained accommodations. Housing strives to build communities that maintain a healthy balance of personal rights and responsibilities, promote respect for diversity and human dignity, and instill pride in the University of Rhode Island.
