EMPLOYEE ORIENTATION

I. APPLICABLE TO:

 New employees.

II. PURPOSE:

To accelerate employee productivity and work performance by providing them with important information concerning State and University policies, procedures, services, and responsibilities.

III. POLICY:

Orientation sessions are conducted monthly for new employees (Faculty orientation is held in August of each year) to acclimate them to working within both the University and the State systems.

IV. PROCEDURE:

The Director of Personnel Services is responsible for notifying new employees of the orientation date.

Administrative Leave is granted to participants attending a session held during their normal working hours.
