Please consider donating to the Kara Lewis LGBTQ Scholarship Fund.  We know Kara touched so many of our lives in her all too brief time as the undergraduate administrative assistant in the URI English Department for several years. She quickly became an indispensable support, resource, and friend to not only the English community, but many in surrounding humanities departments and the university at large, the Center for the Humanities included. Those fortunate enough to know her were amazed by her courage, charm, wit, and deep kindness.  The English Department has thus created a scholarship in her name to benefit LGBTQ students, to give to them in the same way that Kara gave so much to us.
