Pilot Proposal Development

The Pilot Proposal Development program is intended for supporting research proposal development efforts by tenure-track assistant professors at the University of Rhode Island and Brown University with no past or current multi-year external research grant funding history. Although research projects in all areas of biomedical sciences are considered, preference is given to those projects that are in the RI-INBRE Program focus areas of Cancer, Neuroscience, and Molecular Toxicology. An established investigator in a closely related field serves as a mentor in the proposal development and grant submission efforts. Selection of mentors from the University of Rhode Island and Brown University faculty is encouraged.
