Our neuroscience-related research includes the characterization of neuroreceptors, ion channels, and other macromolecules, and how their activities may be elucidated and modulated using novel small molecule ligands. Through the application of computer-based in silico modeling, in vitro, cell-based assays, and whole animal studies, along with structure-activity based organic synthesis and natural product selection and modification, we are developing new therapeutic and diagnostic agents for application in the areas of epilepsy, neurodegeneration, learning and memory, dementia, traumatic brain injury, neuropathic pain, and other neuroscience-related areas. We are experienced in the comprehensive drug- and therapeutic development process, including new molecule synthesis and development, formulation and delivery to appropriate sites of action, pre-clinical development, and associated intellectual property and regulatory issues.
