This group will travel to the city of Cotui in the Dominican Republic where they will have an opportunity to spend two weeks immersing themselves in Dominican culture and an international clinical experience.
Students will earn 3 URI credits for NUR 446: Directed Study for RN Students. This program has limited space available and is only open to URI Nursing students who already have an RN.
The Dominican Republic occupies the eastern two-thirds of the island of Hispaniola in the beautiful Caribbean. It shares the island with the Creole-French-speaking Haiti located at the western end of the island. The island has an average temperature of 78.8°F and great biological diversity.
Accommodations and Meals:
Students will stay in double-occupancy rooms while in the Dominican Republic. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be provided.
