Develop an International Partnership Agreement

Proposals for new international partnership agreements should be discussed at the outset with your Chairperson and your Dean. The next step is to contact the Interim Vice Provost for Global Initiatives, Kristin Johnson, at kristin_johnson@uri.edu for further discussion.

Once the Vice Provost approves moving ahead with the proposal, the Concept Statement Form must be completed and submitted for approval. The Vice Provost will begin the process of preparing a draft that will be reviewed by the partners and designated URI staff.

Partner Inventories

After a Concept Statement has been approved by the Vice Provost of Global Initiatives, a site evaluation should be completed.

The information gathered by the site evaluations will be used by academic advisors and sponsors and the Office of International Education staff when advising students on the destination and/or overseas partners. They will work with Enrollment Services to identify billing and enrollment protocols that suit the agreement.
