ITS Training Topics
Need help with Google, Sakai or using technology? During summer 2016, ITS will be offering a variety of training topics to help URI faculty and staff be more productive. Topics will include:
- Windows 10 (offered in July and August)
- Sakai (offered in July and August)
- Chrome Extensions to Simplify your Web-Browsing Experience
- Desktop Capture
In addition, there will be two weeks of Sakai Jumpstart training and consultations for faculty using Sakai in the fall. Sakai Jumpstart will run the last two weeks in August.
To see the schedule, as it evolves, please point your browser to URI’s techwiki (techwiki.uri.edu) and search on training in the right-hand corner. This will lead you to the training page which is updated monthly with the newest topics and training dates.
Also, the ITS team is working on a self-help website that is less detailed than the wiki. Several of the topics are done–take a look at <web.uri.edu/its-training>. The Relay (Desktop Capture), Polling, WebEx and Google Apps for Education pages are ready! The remaining topics will be finished this summer.
