Disability Services Study Rooms

Disability study rooms in the Library

The Library in Kingston currently hosts two study rooms for Disability Services for Students. They are rooms 340 and 341, and are located on the third floor of the Library.

The rooms have computers, printers, scanners, and software to assist URI students with disabilities.

How to use rooms

Before being able to use a room, a student first needs to be trained on the software by Disability Services for Students. The student’s name is then put on a list of whose who are allowed to use the room. This list is kept at the Circulation Desk.

To use a room, the student should come to the Circulation Desk and ask for a key. The staff member will check the student’s name against the list and then give the student the key.

For assistance

Library staff members are not familiar with the equipment or the software available in the disability study rooms. If a student has questions, he or she should contact Disability Services for Students in the Office of Student Life at (401) 874-2098, through TTY via RI Relay at 1-800-745-5555, or via email at rohland@uri.edu.
