Eric Romelczyk’s (MMA 2016) turned his major paper into a journal article with Prof. Austin Becker and was nominated for Best Manuscript 2016 in Maritime Policy and Management. Known by his classmates as “Tugboat Eric,” his major paper research leveraged his experience as a merchant mariner and as a tall ship sailor to explore how skills are transferable between these two very different working cultures.
