MAF Alumna and GFDD Fellow Hilary Lohmann Gives Presentation About Climate Change in the Dominican Republic

Lohmann presented her research, stating that, “The key to resilience is adaptive capacity.”

To celebrate the release of its latest publication series Research and Ideas entitled Climate Change in the Dominican Republic: Impact on Coastal Resources and Communities, the Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) hosted Fellow Hilary Lohmann (and MAMA grad) for a special presentation of her work at the UN Church Center on October 1st. The presentation was followed by a panel discussion with policy experts including Dr. Ruben Torres, founder and president of Reef Check Dominican Republic, and Karen Kent, Senior Coastal Resources Manager at the Rhode Island University Coastal Resources Center.
