MAF Researchers Investigate Wind Farm Impacts on Users

Professor Tracey Dalton, colleagues, and MAF students were recently featured in two local newspapers, The Block Island Times and The Westerly Sun, for their research projects associated with the Block Island Wind Farm. Dalton is collaborating with Julia Livermore from Rhode Island’s Department of Environmental Management (RIDEM), to investigate the perceived and actual ecological effects of the wind farm on the local marine ecosystems. Additionally, Dalton is collaborating with RI DEM and resource economists at URI to investigate how recreational boaters are affected by the Block Island Wind Farm.
