Guest Artists: William Knuth (Duo Sonidos), Thibaut Garcia, Silviu Ciulei, Raffi Donoian, Daniel Acsadi, Christopher Ladd.

The University of Rhode Island Music Department and The Wheeler School present the 2017 University of Rhode Island Guitar Festival.

Activities include concerts and masterclasses by virtuoso classical guitarists Thibaut Garcia,  Daniel Acsadi,  Silviu Ciulei, David Cobb, Ramin Yazdanpanah, Raffia Donovan, Christopher Ladd, William Knuth (Duo Sonidos), Maharajah Flamenco Trio.

Additionally, there will be special topics lectures, ensemble workshops for New England guitar ensembles and an open mic for participating students.

9:00-9:30: Meet the artist and CD signing

DAY II (April 2, 2017): University of Rhode Island, Fine Arts Center, 105 Upper College Road, Kingston, RI 02881

9:45-10:15: Welcome address and continental breakfast
10:15-12:30: Master classes: Daniel Acsadi, Christopher Ladd, Adam Levin, William Knuth
11:00-12:00: Lecture/Demonstration: Maharajah Flamenco Trio
12:00-1:00: Lunch/Lecture on survival in the arts
1:00-3:30: Ensemble workshops: Daniel Acsadi, Christopher Ladd and William Knuth
3:30-5: Open Mic for participating ensembles, including Rhode Island Allstate group conducted by Adam Levin and active students
6-7:30:  Final Concert: Maharajah Flamenco Trio; Silviu Ciulei, David Cobb, Ramin Yazdanpanah
7:30-8:00: Meet the Artist, CD signing
8:00: Dinner
