The research in the Lipid Lab focuses on how lifestyle changes impact heart disease risk factors such as obesity and dyslipidemia in young adults and older adults. We explore how dietary food groups and individual dietary components such as fiber and fats change the fats in circulation and the related mechanisms. We also collaborate with the Kinesiology Department at URI to examine the combination of diet and exercise on heart disease.
