On Sunday, March 26th, VOICES 21C, a Boston-based community-focused artists’ collective whose members include several URI Music Department alums, is partnering with The Center for the Humanities and the URI Department of Music to perform a concert at the Fine Arts Center on the topic of mass-incarceration in the US.

On Friday, March 31, 2023 The Center for Nonviolence and Peace Studies will host Dr. Larisa Kasumagić-Kafedžić for a special lecture titled Pedagogy of Peace in Formal Education.

Starting Monday, March 27 through Friday, March 31, 2023, eight Tibetan Buddhist monks from the Mystical Arts of Tibet, Drepung Loseling Monastery, will construct a Mandala Sand Painting.

On November 16, 2022 Dr. Thupten Tendhar, Coordinator of the Healthy Minds – Inner Peace Project at the URI Center for Nonviolence and Peace Studies, will facilitate this interactive event. Cultivating Sustainable Peace within for mental health, happiness, and human civilization will be discussed.
