About:

Forced to leave everything behind, her career, family, and friends, Aniece moved to Rhode Island in 2009, where she continued her activism work toward social change locally and in Haiti. She co-founded a nonprofit organization, Hope and Change for Haiti (HnC) in 2016 that aims to improve the lives of others through community development and advocacy. Aniece is the Assistant Executive Director of HnC and the Assistant Secretary of NAACP, a member of several organizations: Cranston Democratic Committee, National Organization for Women, Rhode Island Chapter RI NOW, RI Democratic Women’s Caucus, and Cranston Action Network (CAN). She is also on the Board of the African Alliance of Rhode Island (AARI).
