(Level I – 2016) PSY 478 Kingian Nonviolence Conflict Reconciliation Course, URI
Hello! My name is Trudy Robinson and I am a senior Psychology major here at URI. I am so thankful to have found the Center for Nonviolence & Peace Studies and learn about the nonviolent philosophies of Dr. King in PSY 478. I am now continuing my studies of nonviolence and peace by co-training to spread the word to more like-minded students! This past year I have been working with the Second Step Violence Prevention Program, teaching kindergarten students through fun and active ways how to resolve conflict using nonviolent techniques. The philosophies and skills I have learned have truly worked their way into all aspects of my life and I believe have made me a better and more active person in my community. I am now taking Peace Psychology to finish up my minor in Nonviolence & Peace Studies!
