OLLI Happenings Feb. 24 – 28

Announcements:

  • Reminder: We are very fortunate at OLLI to have free parking available to us and the added benefit of it being right outside our building. Your OLLI parking pass is valid yearly from August 1, to July 31. It does not matter what your membership renewal date is. You must renew it EVERY YEAR! Transportation services is closely monitoring our parking lot to assure there is room for OLLI members to park and tickets are being issued daily. If you are not sure how to find out if your parking pass is valid, please call us or stop by the office and we’re happy to help. We will no longer be able to waive parking tickets.
  • The date and time for the class Topics in Ecology has been changed. The new dates are: Fridays, May 1, 8 and 22, from 12 to 1:30pm. If you registered for this class and are not able to attend on these dates, please email the office (olli@etal.uri.edu) and we will be happy to issue you a credit.

Travel Update

  • Azores- 4 seats left. Final payment for the Azores is due on or before February 28.
  • Nashville & Memphis- 4 seats are now available
  • We are still working on Croatia and Slovenia. Dee will email the flyer to all that have contacted her as soon as she receives it.

  • Aging, Living Well– meets on 3/11 at 3pm
  • Walking Group will meet on 2/26 at Browning Mill Pond, Richmond (Arcadia Management Area)Visit the website for more information and directions.
  • Bridge Group meets at 2pm in the lobby.
  • Cyber Seniors is available on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:30am to 12:30pm and Fridays from 10:30am to 12:30pm

  • Non Fiction Book Group– Monday, 2/24 at 3:30pm. The book is D-Day Girls by Sarah Rose.
