Academic Technology Survey

URI teaching faculty were surveyed regarding available technology resources.  We sent emails to 1267 faculty (1150 valid email addresses).  We received responses from 314 faculty (27.3% of valid email addresses).

Respondent Demographics

Faculty Position:

  • 32.5% – Full Professor
  • 21.2% – Associate Professor
  • 14.5% – Assistant Professor
  • 31.7%% – Lecturer/ Per-Course Faculty

 

Colleges:

  • 49.5% – Arts and Sciences
  • 12.5% – Environment & Life Sciences
  • 10.7% – Human Science & Services
  • 9.0% – Business
  • < 5% each: Nursing, Pharmacy, Engineering, Library, CE, Oceanography

 

Years at URI

  • 26.9% – 20 years or more
  • 24.8% – 10-19 years
  • 38.1% – 2-9 years
  • 7.3% – 0-1 year

 

Faculty indicated the level and modality of the courses they teach. They could select all that applied to their teaching load, percentages were calculated based on the number of respondents (N=314).
