Student “pro-rated” spring semester 2017 permits are available!
Student parking permits ordering information and details are outlined below.

You must pay for your permit by:
Debit Card, Visa, MasterCard, or Discover
In order to gain access to the permit portal, use your URI Student ID number as your Account Number. You are required to verify and link your vehicle to your permit to park on campus. You will need your vehicle’s license plate number, make, model, and registration expiration date.
The permit should arrive at the shipping address that you provide (please be sure this is accurate) within 5 to 7 business days. You will receive a confirmation email with an attached PDF that you would need to print out and place in your vehicle. This PDF printout is good for 15 days and acts as a temporary parking pass until your new permit arrives in the mail! Important: If you do not receive your permit in the mail within 15 days you must contact Parking Services!
Please review the insert that comes with your permit for the placement location on your vehicle and the specific parking guidelines to follow to avoid citations.

Commuter Permits – $115.00
Resident Permits – $160.00
Greek Permits – $160.00
Note: Students who buy annual permits are allowed four (4) one-day “FREE” “Courtesy” parking passes in the event that your vehicle is being repaired, etc., and you are using a temporary vehicle for that day on Campus. After the four (4) one-day parking passes are used during the academic year, the student would need to purchase a temporary parking pass. (See Temporary Student Parking Passes below)
Note: Students who buy semester permits are allowed two (2) one-day “FREE” “Courtesy” parking passes in the event that your vehicle is being repaired, etc., and you are using a temporary vehicle for that day on Campus. After the two (2) one-day parking passes are used during the semester, the student would need to purchase a temporary parking pass. (See Temporary Student Parking Passes below)

Temporary Student Parking Passes
Students who have a vehicle on campus infrequently may purchase a temporary parking pass online and print it from their computers.
The permit website also allows students to select a “Start Date”, giving them the option to choose in advance which date they would like the temporary permit to go into effect. For example, if you would like to buy a 7-day temporary pass but don’t need it until Monday of next week, you can just enter that Monday’s date as the Start Date.
Please be advised that temporary passes allow students to park in the General Student lots and the Plains Road Commuter lot ONLY (see Kingston Campus parking areas for details).
1-day Temporary Pass – $6.00
7-day Temporary Pass – $30.00
30-day Temporary Pass – $90.00
- Permits are not sold in our office and are only available for purchase online.
- ALL PERMIT SALES ARE FINAL. There are NO refunds.
- Resale or transfer of permits is not allowed and will be subject to criminal or student judicial action.
- There is a $25.00 replacement fee for any lost, misplaced or damaged permits and vehicle changes. This includes permits not received due to an invalid mailing address, so please be sure that your mailing address is established and up to date at the time of your order.
Important Address Information:
Be sure to use the mailing address where you live at the time of your order. Permits mailed to a future address (i.e. September off-campus rental) may become lost in the mail. If you are renting off-campus, inform the town’s post office (i.e. Narragansett Post Office) that you are a new resident at that address or the mail could run into difficulties in being delivered.
On-Campus Mailing Address: If you do not know your on campus Union Express mailing information please log into your e-campus “my housing” link, click on personal information, click on update information, click on Fall semester and your UE Unit # is shown at the 5th option. The address should be written as follows:
