The Commission researches, monitors, and reports on the status of LGBTQ communities on campus and of institutional initiatives; identifies major needs and topics of concern; proposes policies and programs to address these needs and concerns, collaborates with campus organizations with complementary goals and objectives; monitors the effectiveness of any proposed policies and initiatives upon implementation; and regularly communicates the progress of these efforts to the university community. The Commission submits recommendations to the President and the Chief Diversity Officer.
