Funding Opportunities

Dean’s Excellence Award
The URI College of Pharmacy offers a fellowship program for exceptional graduate students who are seeking to pursue a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences. This competitive Graduate Fellowship includes up to four years of full tuition and stipend. The review process for this fellowship has a rolling deadline of December 1, February 1 and April 1. The recipient must be an American citizen, who is enrolling at the University of Rhode Island for the first time. Learn more »

Teaching and Research Assistantships

  • Graduate Teaching Assistantships include a stipend and tuition waiver. The duties would include helping with lecture and laboratory preparations, recitations, proctoring and grading of exams. The assistantships are appointed through professor’s recommendations.
  • Graduate Research Assistantships: In addition, a number of the faculty have available a wide variety of Research Assistantships which are awarded to their graduate students. The Research Assistantships may include tuition and stipend and the duties would include research work.
