The M.B.A. program is designed to accommodate part-time and full-time students who are interested in changing their career paths, leveraging their current company position or even start their own business.
The advantages of a Master of Business Administration Degree
From broadening skills in areas such as analytics and managerial leadership to problem solving, an M.B.A degree prepares students as highly qualified leaders, providing a competitive advantage. Most of the leading organizations prefer to hire MBAs for top-level management positions.
The Master of Business Administration curriculum at a glance
We now offer a One-Year M.B.A. program and an evening M.B.A. program – both located in downtown Providence!
The part time evening program is designed to emphasize conceptual, analytical, technical, and interpersonal skills. Material for this non-thesis program is presented through lectures, discussions, case studies, and both individual and group projects. The M.B.A. program does not require previous instruction in business administration nor pre-requisite coursework.
The curriculum allows for breadth in business topics, including six new courses that allow you to focus on healthcare management. It consists of a maximum of 15 courses; some courses may be waived based on previous relevant coursework. Each course meets one night per week, Monday-Thursday evenings, with the ability to take some Saturday and online course options as well. This program is flexible to meet your individual needs, allowing you to take as many courses per semester as you desire. We also offer the unique feature for prospective students to take some Rhode Island MBA courses before they apply to the program!
One-Year M.B.A. in Strategic Innovation
This one-year full time program offers a uniquely integrative curriculum featuring broad and deep practical experiences with leading national and global companies taught within a framework of solving business problems. Twenty-five students start and end this program together as a cohort. Classes meet Monday-Friday from 9am-4pm during the fall and spring semesters, and will finish the program with summer internship or evening electives.
